Challenge 21 - Shaped Cards with Ribbon

Good morning everyone.  This is Cheri from DJ’s Sundries and I’m so glad that you were able to stop by the 3 Girl JAM challenge blog today.  I had fun making a shaped card and I hope you will have fun too.  Be sure to link up your shaped card before time runs out.  There’s a great prize that’s up for grabs.

For today’s card, I pulled the Cricut Art Philosophy cartridge and modified the postage stamp card and another shape in the Cricut Craft Room.  Scrumptious 3 Girl JAM Coral Crush and Cream crinkle ribbon provided the perfect combination to finish up the card.

I grabbed my Tablescapes - Spring and Summer Cartridge, because I have been wanting to make an umbrella card.  I paired it up with this beautiful sentiment by my sweet friend, Lisa Arana.  

So, hmmmm.....what color of 3 Girl JAM Crinkle Ribbon should I use??? 

I decided to use the Red, White, and Blue Bundle Ribbon to showcase the diversity of how it can be used on projects, even those that aren't patriotic themed.  The bundle comes with a true Red, a Basic Blue, and a White with blue and red edges.

The Miniature Bow at the tippy top of the umbrella was made (very quickly and very simply, I might add) using
3 Girl JAM Bow Maker

I used a textured Aqua Card Stock and some Coral colored card stock.
I detailed a bit using my white gel pen.
I HAD, HAD, HAD, to play with the wonderful Skittles by Carri from DoubleClick~ AKA Abusybee (who happens to be sponsoring the prize for this challenge - YUMMY)

Born on the 4th of July

Hi all!  Happy Independence Day!

Rebecca here celebrating the holiday with you!

YAY for BBQ's, fireworks, and family time.

My project for you is a recent birthday present I created for a friend of mine.  Her birthday is in June and I typically give her a calendar.  Usually I go June to June, but this one starts this month and ends at the end of the next year.

This year I made it a desk-size calendar, so she could use it at work.  It measures 4 3/4 inches by 3.5 inches.  It fits in one of those clear acrylic frames.

I decorated the outside, tying everything nicely together with 3GirlJam Aqua Splash Crinkle Ribbon from the Caribbean Bundle! 

I know, I know, NOTHING in my project represent the holiday colors OR my post title...but hey! I just wanted to keep you on your toes.

(and I honestly couldn't help myself with the post title)

So, how about this one?  Better?
